  • Able to lift 40 pounds from the floor to a waist high table 10-15 times daily.

  • Able to reach a child 20-30 feet away within 30 seconds without danger to the staff person’s health.

  • Able to crouch, bend, reach, and stretch to complete the functions of the job.

  • Able to calmly handle the daily needs and expectations of housekeeping responsibilities.

  • Able to communicate openly and productively.


  • Able to abide by Texas Health Department standards.

  • Able to abide by all policies and procedures set forth by Wellspring Preparatory Academy.


  • Possess leadership strength, a teamwork mindset, strong communication, networking skills, organization skills, and problem-solving ability.

  • Able to communicate both in writing and verbally in the English language at a level that the leadership and other staff can understand and respond.

  • Able to represent Wellspring Preparatory Academy in a professional manner both within the facility and in the community.

Job Functions/Responsibilities


  • Engage with all children in a positive and calm manner.


  • Creation of a safe, respectful, and fair environment for students and staff.

  • Team player.

  • Regular and clear communication with the Wellspring leadership team.


  • Contact authorities when/if the need arises.

  • Sign all forms/reports and take action as necessary.


  • Complete any and all housekeeping duties as assigned by the Director.

  • Responsible for ensuring the building has an overall peaceful and pleasant sound, smell, and sight.

  • Provide a clean and hygienic space for all children.

  • Report unsafe workplace issues.
